Christopher Mengel - President and Founder, Razorwest
Christopher Mengel is a serial entrepreneur with 15+ years of experience developing and executing revenue-based businesses, building new market opportunities, recruiting top talent, and creating innovative products and services. He has founded and ran six companies in five separate industries and has worked with over 30 companies in 11 different industries. Prior to founding Razorwest, Christopher was the Vice President of Marketing for a enterprise content management software company. That company was subsequently sold to a much larger publicly traded online training company where he continued as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to that, Christopher was Vice President and co-founder of a Washington DC-based internet business incubator and web design firm. While there, he co-founded and was President of a Virginia-based local product advertising search company that was spun off to extend the shelf life of traditional advertising for merchants and also make it easier for consumers to search and compare the best deals from the local community. At the time, this company was an early pioneer in online product advertising search and employed many of the strategies that are now widely used such as the Pay-per-Click (PPC) and Pay-per-Action (PPA) advertising revenue models, and also the collaborative filtering and cataloging seen in the most successful "Web 2.0" products today. During the 1990's, Christopher was the founder and President of a regional recruitment and consulting services firm that specialized in the contigency placement of Marketing, Management, Sales, Accounting/Finance and IT staff and consultants. Clients included large national healthcare, publishing, and media companies, as well as emerging technology firms. Prior to that, Christopher founded and ran a commercial crabbing business and a driveway resealing business. He graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a Bachlor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. He is married and currenty lives in Arlington, Virginia.
